The Story of Ghost: Chap.1 The Battle of Geonosis

The day had finally come. Ghost and as well as the other thousands of clones were being to sent to battle. Ghost and his "brothers" have been training hard for this day and now it is here. Ghost was in a LAAT dropship with a squad of other clones prepping for battle. Ghost was readying his DC-15s blaster rifle when a fellow clone asked him. "Ready to fight some clankers, Ghost?" "Hell yeah. You and me have been training for this day for a long time, Brother." Ghost replied to his life long best friend, "Thunder" "You got that right. How do you think will get more kills? You or me?" "We'll just see about that." Ghost finished. The LAAT dropship began to descend. "Their landing." Thunder said to Ghost. "Yep. This is it. Ready to fight?" "Hell yeah, let's do this!" The dropship landed and the door slid open. "Go, Go, Go!" Ghost said to everyone on-board. They all hoped off the dropship and onto the field. Within a moment, they began taking fire from the enemy. "Get to cover!" Ghost shouted. He and the clones with him took cover behind some rocks and began to return fire. Ghost came from his cover and aimed his DC-15s blaster. "Alright, which one of you wants to be my first kill..." He looked around and spotted a super battle droid heading his way. "Alright, It'll be you." Ghost aimed at the droid, put his finger on the trigger and held his breath. He thought to himself, "Just like the training Sims back on Kamino." He pulled the trigger and the weapon fired. The blast headed straight towards to droid and it impacted. The droid staggered and fell. "Yeah! Take that, clanker!" Thunder then said to him. "Nice shot, Ghost! Now let me show you how it's really done." He was just kidding of course. Thunder fired his weapon and brought down another droid. "Haha, that's how you do it!" "Excellent shot, brother. Let's see how can kill more?" Ghost said. "Oh, we'll just see about that." Thunder replied. "Alright, Echo Squad, move up!" Ghost ordered them. They all came out of their cover and moved up. As they ran, more droids opened fire on them. "Incoming fire!" Ghost shouted. He and his squad returned fire. One clone was hit and went down. "Man down! Keep moving!" They found new cover and began to return fire at the droids. During the engagement, another went down after being shot in the head. "Man down!" The remaining droids were put down. Thunder then asked Ghost, "We've lost two men, Ghost. What should we do?" "Do what we were born to do! Keep fighting until the battle is won or die trying!" Ghost answered. "Yes, sir!" Thunder replied. "You heard him, let's go get some droids!" "That's the spirit! Now let's move!" Throughout the battle, they repeatably engaged and destroyed many droids eventually losing another man. Leaving him, Thunder and another clone. Towards the end of the battle, the separatists forces were in full retreat. The clones were now just moping up the stragglers. "Come on! We have them on the run! Let's finish this battle!" Ghost shouted to his squad and the other clones. The clones now together as one mass force marched forward and fired all their weapons bringing down retreating droids and Geonosians. "Keep firing!" Soon enough, they were gone. The battle was won. "That's it! Run you separatists scum! Good job, Echo squad. We showed those droids what a clone can do." "We sure did. How many did you bring down?" Thunder asked him" "Hmm... I'd say about 33. You?" Ghost asked him. "32." "Not bad, one kill behind me. Anyway, you did good today, brother. "WE, did good today." "Yeah, we did. Not bad for a bunch of rookies, eh?" "Yeah, but we did lose 3 of our squad." "They died defending the Republic and that's what they trained their whole lives to do. We got lucky and lived to fight for the Republic another day. They'll be remembered." "I understand, Ghost." "Hey, this was our first battle and we won. Be proud of yourself." "I am, Ghost." Thunder said. "Good, let's regroup with the others." "Yes, sir." They joined the remaining clones and would eventually leave the planet. Ghost and Thunder fought the battle of Geonosis and lived to tell the tale. The war has just began and their would be more death and destruction to come in the days ahead and they would be ready to put their lives on the line to preserve the Republic, to preserve Democracy.
